Thank for responding. Its quite a mystery.

My great grandfather William sr. apparently died in York in 2012, His wife Emma (Mary) Morley died in 1881.

There kids: (William jr, Annie, Alex) lived in York I believe. The 2010 directory shows William jr. living on St. Clair Street. His wife Annie Foy Cooper gave birth to Robert Cooper. I believe the others may have lived on Duggan Avenue. Very sketchy.

I wondered why Wlm jr and Annie Foy Cooper would be there for only a short time when they have a family in Montreal.

I thought it might be was for two reasons. They were visiting Wlm sr who may have been very sick or there were Foys living in the York neighborhood.

Can anyone find a 'Annie Foy' who immigrated to Canada from Kilkeel N. Ireland in 1883.

Annie Foy eventually married my grandfather William Cooper in Montreal in 1899,

William was living in Ontario as a younger man.

The brick wall I've hit is where my grandmother lived after 1883 and before she married in Montreal in 1899. Was it Ontario or Quebec??

Btw Annie Foy immigrated as a 12 year old probably with her older brother Thomas Foy, and maybe her mother Mary. Father Patrick Foy died in Ireland 1871.
