I am Ralf Warren Blackstone. I have only been able to trace my lineage to James Harvey Blackstone of Sumner Co., TN b.1784 and d.1860 in Cumming, Forsyth Co., GA. I can find no parents, siblings, or other children beside my ancestor James Henry Blackstone b.1817 in either Sumner Co., TN or South Carolina to his mother Mary Bittle. I would be happy to participate in the DNA project if it may point me in the direction of my lineage before James Harvey Blackstone.

Ralf,
There are two ways to prove your connection. The first would be through a Y-DNA test Here is a link to the Blackstone Project
http://www.familytreedna.com/group-join.aspx?Group=Blackston...

This would allow your to definitely prove or disprove a connection and would be your best bet. the project admin could advise. he other possibility is an atDNA test likeis offered here or at FTDNA. please feel free to contact me for more info.

I thought that my ancestors John Hill born about 1673 London, England and Hannah Turtlebee born London, England settled in Rehoboth in this timeframe, but perhaps I am mistaken. Please let me know as this is my main paternal line .

Its very possible that they did. If you know off hand feel free to join. I mostly went off the original proprietors and early lists I had. There are likely others.
