I'm searching for information on Rayburn's, my maternal grandmother's line. I came across an Edward Rayburn born in 1861 in Greenup Co., who married Rosa Perry of Wayne County, WV in 1898. Since the/my Rayburn's have been in Wayne County since at least 1910, I thought this might be the same family. My great great grandfather was Robert Rayburn who married his second wife Nellie Billups around 1910. Robert's first wife, "Effie" is buried in Lawrence County, KY at Buchanen Cemetery. Any help is appreciated.

In Greenup County, a lady by the name of Ruby Hart is working on the History of the Buchanen Church and Cemetery.
She recently ask for my help. She is interested in tracking Robert, husband of Effie. She knows that he was born in Oct. 1863 (from the Voting Pre. #1 Buchanan census)They
listed his wife as Effie R. Children, Myrtie (school records show Mystic), Nellie, Frederick, and Garnet. Robert is listed on the church deed as trustee in 1899. I hope that you are interested in giving any information that you may have on this Family and what happened to Robert after 1900. Do you know the maiden name of Effie.
