William Davison was born in North Shields , Northumberland England in 1840. He arrived in Port Phillip on the St. George in 1852 with his parents Robert & Mary & brother Robert. Theysettled in the Stanley District of Tasmania.
William was back in Port Phillip (Melbourne) in 1868.

In 1880 he was living near the Apollo Candle Works Footscray.

I belive your William Davison could have had a son named Henry who went on to have a daughter (Lucinda Florence Davison)- (she married Charles Austin Browne) who was my maternal grandfathers mother. Sorry if that doesnt make sense. Im still looking for all my famiy research after moving a few times. Regards, Simone
