If your ARTER family came from England after 1837 I have lists of all UK ARTER births, marrieges and deaths on my database. I also have some UK ARTER family trees prior to that.

Hello Susan,

I have Charlottes birth registered in third quarter of 1842 at Romsey six miles East of Plaitford. I know nothing of her having done no research on ARTER in that area.

There were ARTER births and marriages in Romsey up to about 1878 and I will happily send you all that I have.

Can you e-mail me at

bert.arter@btinternet.com

and we can continue the conversation?

Hello Anthony, I do have information on Percy Thornton. I know that he was born 1n 1899 registered at West Ham and I believe that I know his family. I also know that he had a daughter, Mary A.C., birth registered 4th quarter 1930 at Rochford district of Essex, mother formerly Leadbeater. Please e-mail me at bert.arter@btinternet.com to continue this conversation. Bert Arter.

Hello Milt,

My own ARTER`s did not get to North America until the late 1800`s but I am interested in any earlier entries. Do you have a name for your 1839 entry?

Did you mean 1939 or should that have been 1839? In either case do you know his age when marrying Mary Jane BEATY?
