grandfather John E Swan born in
Alabama in 1830s, was listed in 1850s
census in Blount Co AL

do you know of Eugene Philip Swan...he had a sister named Julia and a couple of other siblings - his mothers name was Wilhelmina Priesing...Uncle Albert Priesing...German origin?

lost Swan cousins

Edward Swan, b 1882 in TX; mar Dona Murff in Kauffman county TX; in White Bead, Garvin County OK in 1910. He was killed in 1911, leaving three children; Lula, Donna, and Willie. Another daughter was born after he died. Her name was Adel. Dona Murff/Swan remarried to Robert L. Johnson in 1912 in Garvin county. Any trace of the three girls would be appreciated. (son Willie d in childhood).

I think you might be the same person that Verbon Gene Swann was in contact with. I tried to email you but could never make contact.
But, in case you aren't, my gr gr grandfather was that Edward Swan b ca 1795 in Ireland (?) married first a Rebecca second Hannah McCollum in Campbell county GA in 1830, was in Blount co. AL by 1833. He had a large family--I am descended from his son Edward R. who married Rhoda Sapp, went to Shelby county TX, fought in the Civil War, and died while in the service at Trenton AR. Do you have anymore information? Dates? Location? I am also researching my family of Swans and I have German background, but we are located in Brooke Township, Lambton County, Ontario,Canada. Sorry if that is no help to you!
