My grandfather was a cabin boy in the 1910's or 20's on a ship we think was out of Rotterdam. He jumped ship in Boston and supposedly worked there for several years before paying for his parents to come to the US. All we really know is that we are Dutch and come from Holland. We don't know if we took the name of the City of Maastricht or what. We also know that there were several different ways of spelling this name and thats all we know. Any help out there?

van Maastricht, de Hoog, van der Wal
My paternal grandmother was a 'van Maastricht'. I have a limited amount of knowledge about her parents and siblings. As far as I can tell, their 'hometown' was Eindhoven, Nord Brabant, NL. Am willing to compare notes.
