There was also a Richard Justin, born 1844, Queens County, Laois, who was a verger. He married Elizabeth ??born Dublin 1838.

I believe the Richard Justin -born 1844 married Elizabeth is one I am tracking. Richard Justin married Elizabeth Skipp b. 1838 on 03 Jun 1867 St Peter's Parrish, Dublin Ireland. I think Elizabeth and my great grandfather John Henry Skipp were siblings.

Thank you for the website. For some reason I didn't get the notification on your post last Sept. When you posted recently, I did get a notification and went back to look at the message board and saw your post. Many, many thanks. Its a wonderful site and I was able to add several pieces of data to the Justin and Skipp side including the last name of my great-great grandmoter.

Hi 'mebby'

I was in touch with someone WAY back in relation to your branch of the Justin's.

I know your family and my husband's family were the only 2 families of Justin's in Dublin during the 1901 & 1911 census, and I was hoping they were related and so I did a lot of work on them BUT it appears that yours were defo from Laois and were farmers and mine were from Dublin and were weavers.

I was never able to link my Justins to Laois / Offaly.

If I can help you at all, please let me know, if you want to use the email address that I have posted here, please do !

I continue to research the Justin families from Laois and Offaly. I think order the marriage certificate for Richard and Elizabeth could be helpful. It would advise the name of their father's and where they lived. perhaps you already have this information.
