I'm looking for more information regarding the following people.

Micheal Troyer was born in Germany. He immigrated to Pennsylvania via the ship Brotherhood on Nov. 03, 1750. He married a Magdalena Mast and had several children: John, Michael, Christian, Barbara, Magdalena, Anna, Jacob, Henry, Mary, Joseph, Andrew, David, Veronica and Elizabeth. he died in Pennsylvania around 1807

Henry Troyer was born around September 13, 1766 in Lancaster, Penn. He married a miss francis (veronica) kaufman. They were married in Somerset Pennsylvania. They had 9 children.

The next Henry Troyer was born September19, 1804 in Somerset, PENN. Her was married twice and had a total of 13 kids from both marriages. 10 in one and three in the other. Her married a Catharine Boghart and then Rachel Shcaffer. With Rachel, they had a Miss Sarah. Henry died Sep 20, 1886 in Putnam Co., Ohio

Sarah was born October 24, 1863, I believe in Ohio somewhere. She married a Mr. John Henry Burkmier on March 25, 1883. She died December 13, 1961. With John she had a total of 13 children.

What I'm looking for is any more information on the Troyer family and any information I can get on the Burkmier family related to it. If anyone can help, please do! I'm stuck!

Samantha

Samantha;
I believe we are working on the same family. I just found a cousin last week that has much information on the Troyers. Michael was born in 1734 in Trub Valley, Canton Bern, Emmentel Switzerland, died April 4, 1897 in Sommerset County, Pa. He married Magdalena Mast in 1753 in Berks Co, PA.

There children were: John; Michael; Christian; Barbara; Magdalena; Anna; Jacob; Henry; Mary; Abraham; Joseph; Andrew; David; Fany May; Veronica Frany; and Elisabeth.
This is just the start of several pages my new found cousin sent to me. I'll ask her if she will answer you 'board note also.

I was wondering amoung all those Troyers, did you ever run across a Noah Troyer and his family? His wife's name was Barbara Miller Troyer and they had about 9 kids. One of those kids is my GGreat Grandmother, Lucinda Troyer. Please let me know if you have any connection to them. Thanks

I recommend "Amish and Amish Mennonite Genealogies" by Hugh F. Gingerich and Rachel W. Kreider (Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society). This Troyer genealogy begins on p. 460.
