Mount Royal Cemetery - Photos Needed

I have several relatives buried at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal and was hoping I might be able to find someone who is planning a trip there or lives close by that would be willing to stop in and take some photos for me. I have all of the plot details. I know that the cemetery will do this for me, but it took me 9 months just to get the burial information out of them, so I suspect this way will be more fruitful.

Hi Karina,

My ancestor is buried there too and I would very much like a photo of his gravestone. If I do not find anyone beforehand, would you be willing to help me next Feb.?

Best wishes,
Susan

I can take some photos at Mount Royal Cemetery. We just had our first snowfall here in Montreal. Temperatures are supposed to rise by the weekend and hopefully the snow will melt.

I just found out that my grandfather was buried at Notre-dame-des-neiges. Would you be able to take a picture of his tombstone? His name is François Xavier Giroux, died on Feb 22 1971 and is in Section FT - Lot 01971 (Spouse: Anna)

I live in Gatineau and it would save me the trip. Very much appreciated. THANKS!

Ok i came back from the cemetary and i have sad news :(

the lot FT means your grand-father was burried in a commune lot with other people. The lady at the office of the cemetary explained to me that there is no way to find exactly where he is at in the said lot because commune lots are sold after 10 years to other people how want to burry loved ones. So, they always call the family before selling a lot over a C.L. Then the family either decides to move the remains to another lot with a stone or to leave the remains where they are and the cemetary sells a lot so their loved ones are burried over the others :(

Im sorry :(

Oh, that's very sad to hear. But, I want to thank you very much for taking the time to go over there for me. I really appreciate it! That's was very nice of you.

Would they still have any records of the burial though, on paper? If so, I could go over there this summer and get a copy of it.
