Surnames:
i am trying to find a name that i can't spell. it sounds like "chechehovitch"
the person was from omaha nebraska in 1970. told me his name was bernard or bernie chechehovitch and he was bohemian.
can anyone help with the spelling?

Chechehovitch sounds like C^ec^ehovic^ but no such surname in Czech Republic's phone book. To me it looks more former Yugoslavian like maybe Croatian.
By any chance you know from what village in Bohemia?
