Hi, Gerene, Linda Wilson here, Abner Potts Stewart from Independence County, AR. I have recently gotten some information that my line is kin to your line through John Stewart who was the son of Captain Ralph Stewart of the Cowpasture Stewart's in Augusta County, VA. Ralph later went to W. VA. My line is through Ralph's brother, John, who went to NC when he was a child. Do you know if your line has done DNA testing? Would like to find out if the two Stewart lines are related. LInda

Linda, have you researched the Augusta Stuarts extensively? John Stuart 1749-1823 m. Agness Lewis, went to Virginia, fought Battle of Point Pleasant, settled Greenbriar in Braxton Co. (now WVa). All of this is recent research (for me) and his descendants are fairly well documented.

We are trying to find direct ancestor of John Stewart b. 1789-1793 VA m. Jane Boggs and left her, then died in Missouri.
Thanks!
