YOUNGSTOWN – Services will be Friday, July 30, 2010, at 1 p.m. at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Ms. Dianetta Payne, 73, of Youngstown, who departed this life Friday, July 23, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Ms. Payne was born April 27, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Mercel and Emma Fannings LaBooth.
She was a graduate of North High School. She was a former member of New Bethel Baptist Church and also attended Ebenezer C.O.G.I.C.
She worked as a poll worker for the Board of Elections for many years and was a Daycare helper for the Buckeye Elks.
She leaves to cherish her memory four sons, Mark and Michael Butler, James (Yolanda) Payne all of Youngstown and Earnest Jackson of Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters, Beatrice Butler and Kim Ellis, both of Youngstown; one brother, Thomas (Sonya) Fannings of Tacoma, Wash.; three sisters Jeanette Pope, Laurel Thompson and Betty Bell’ Funderburg, all of Youngstown; 14 grandchildren including two whom she reared, Keyonna and Ashley; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Pauline Sanchez; and three brothers, Marcel Jr. and Warren LaBooth and Richard Fannings.
Friends may call Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
