Does anyone know if there is an on line census or church records for Bitburg between 1700-1850? Thanks

Bitburg is a German town in the Eiffel Mountain area.
Koblenz on the Rhine/Mosel [Rhein] is one of the greater cities in the area.
So this is not the typical Prussian area, but in the old days Prussia was frequently taken for Germany in general.

Hello!
The name Luley/Luly sounds French to me [I am Dutch], like the baroque composer Luly. So it might be that the name originates of the German/French border region "Elsasz" [french: Alsace]- Lotharingen [french: Lorraine], which has been disputed for ages [that is: since the division of the rich of Charlemaigne between his sons]. This is the area where the German politician Lothar de Maizere originates from [German - with a French name].

most Lulys seem to be from Italy but the name is found in germany and in France.
The composer lived in France but was in fact Italian
