This must be a relative of mine, because my father's grandfather, Albert Abraham Pecknold, settled in Wainwright, Alberta in the 1880's.
There was a big Pecknold family reunion in Wainwright a couple of summers ago, and someone is supposed to be cooking up a family tree.
Great-grandfather Albert Abraham had two wives and fourteen children, the third of whom was my grandmother Winifred Pecknold Emmott.

I guess we're related somehow. My great-grandfather was also Albert Abraham Pecknold. My grandfather, Eric Pecknold was Albert's second youngest son (the last to be born in Ireland). I'm trying to put together the family history. I don't have all the info myself, (I'm not sure who does) but I sure could use all the help available from anyone!!

Were you at the Pecknold family reunion in Wainwright, Alberta a couple of years ago? We put together quite a nice family tree and I have been trying to get hold of it. One of the relatives is a good source and I learned a lot.
Kirsten Emmott (my father was the son of Albert Abraham's second-eldest daughter)

Hi
I am also a Pecknold. My father was the youngest of the Pecknold brothers and sisters (seventeen)

. Alfred Abraham Pecknold was my Grandfather. Abraham was one of my father older brothers. My father Wilfred was the first one born in Canada in 1914. I am the youngest of the first Generation of Cousins 56. The next generation of cousins were 100 + at last count. I don't know how many third cousins.

I don't know who if anyone has an official family history. However I do know that Alfred Abraham was the last of the Pecknold family. He and my Grandmonther moved to Weignwright Alberta and are both found in the cemetary there. The Maj. as everyone in the family called him was in the Royal Irish Rifles. He was the last RSM of the Royal Irish Rifles in Poona India.

I hope this helps.
