Janet; My "Payn" connection is through marriage only! Erastus and Jerusha (Bunce) Payn's daughter Cordelia married Francis L. Smith. Francis and Cordelia (Payne) Smith had one son, Lorenzo, who was born in 1853 at Berlin, Green Lake County, Wi. He married Etta Saxton in 1875 in Green Lake County. In 1893 he married Emma Schrader of Berlin. They moved to Alliance, Nebraska. Francis and Cordelia (Payne) Smith are buried in the Bush Cemetery at Berlin, Green Lake Co. Wi. You may be interested to know that Jerusha Payn is also buried in the Bush Cemetery.

I am researching the Brewer line concerning a Nelson J. Brewer, who died in April 1872 in Berlin, WI of Green Lake County, WI. Anyone with accurate information concerning this man, his wife, & his ancestors (he is my 3 gr. grandfather paternally)is invited to contact me at the email addresses listed. His eldest son, William Whitman Brewer is whom I am descended from & my information on this familial branch is very sketchy, so accurate information on him & ancestors would be gratefully appreciated & welcomed.

Dear Janet: My great-grandfather, Robert C. McClintock, is the youngest brother of Mary Jane McClintock. After their parents died 1n 1839 and she married Alonzo, they were the guardians of Robert and he moved with them to Berlin, WI. I have info on Alonzo & Mary Jane's family from the census 1840 LaPorte Co, IN, 1850,& 1860 Green Lake Co, WI census, which I can share if you need it. I would like to find out where Alonzo and Mary Jane are buried, and how to get there.

Hi Sharon, Per Wisconsin State Genealogical Society, Mary Jane (McClintock)Payn and Alonzo are buried in the Bush Cemetery, section 2, Green Lake County, WI. Daughter Grace was also laid to rest there in 1904. I am not sure how to get there, but it should be in or near the town of Berlin (hopefully).
