Looking for info about my grandfather's Navy UDT service in Pusan, Korea

Hello,

My grandfather Charles "Chuck" S. De Guia (still alive but closed-lipped about his service) was part of an Underwater Demolitions Team (UDT) in the Navy during the Korean War. I know he was in/fought in Pusan, was wounded and served with a man on his squad nicknamed "Shakes" or "Shaky."

I know this isn't much to go on, but if anybody served with him or knows something of his service, if you could please let me know, my entire family would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,
Daniel De Guia

Chuck,

We still have not had correspondence from any of the men from his unit, even after all these years.

Good idea to post on this forum to widen the networking possibilities.

The Navy UDT-SEAL have a wonderful Museum in Ft Pierce, Fl 34949. My mothers first husband was in the second class of the SEALs and was killed in Action, my oldest sisters father. I took my mother there and we got alot of info from them. Go to there website, just put in search Navy UDT
and you will see it.

Hope this helps
