Recommendations on Researchers for Hire in Slovenia?

Recommendations on Researchers for Hire in Slovenia?

I'm considering hiring a researcher to look for historic records pertaining to my family from Slovenia. Any living relatives would be icing on the cake. I would be requesting research on the families of two people, both born in the late 1880s in the Prekmurje region (one was Lutheran and from Bodonci, the other was Catholic and from Boreča).

Does anyone have any recommendations on researchers that they have hired in the past?

I have used Peter Hawlina in Slovenia and have been pleased with the results. Just google his name and you will find plenty of information about him including his email or I can also provide it.

Thank you, I will contact him for a quote and to see if he is interested in traveling to the villages I'm interested in (Bodonci and Boreča, for reference).

Thanks! It looks like Lidija also specializes in Slovene genealogy, and she and Peter are approximately the same distance from my villages of interest (Bodonci and Boreča). I will probably contact both of them for a quote, but Peter's CV is pretty impressive (http://www.hawlina.com/teksti/CV_Peter_Hawlina.htm).

Lidija is NOT Croatian. She is my distant cousin and lives in Croatia. She very much is Slovenian and very good at what she does!
