I am trying to trace Joseph Triajstic b.1859 in Slovenia d.1920 in Cleveland. He married Magdalen Mroz b.1885. I am trying to find his parents. Can anyone help?

You might want to delete the query on Slovakia's Ancestry board. Do check on your posting history. Without you providing any kind of acknowledgment, I have no way of knowing if you have seen my posts.

That seems to kind of fit, but we have that he was born in 1859 and arrived in 1889. It is so close though.

I actually got tied up for a min so I am just reading things now. There are a lot of good links that you sent. I am just about to delete the Slovakia post.

Now I wonder if Slovenia or Croatia has anything to do with your research. Do take a look at these NY EI arrival manifests.

Trynadeialyj, Andryj Daniczkiwa, Galicia 48 1865 1913
Trynadeialyj, Fewdocha Daniczkiwa, Galicia 43 1870 1913

I find it very unlikely that the surname Trinajstic (any spelling variation) has anything to do with Slovenia. It does mean "for the thirteenth time" in Slovene, but nothing similar exists here in a surname form.
