I would like to know anything on the two surnames. My father was William Peter Olendy. His father was Stephen Olendy, and his mother was Mary Sorokowski. I think she resided in Star, Alberta.

Her farm burnt down around 1982,82,84??? With her daughter in it.

Any information would be appreciated.

Just updating my email, if there is any information on the previous post, it would still be appreciated. I know my father
was taken from his mother Mary Sorokowski or Olendy when he was 5ish around 1940 or 41 somewhere around there. He was placed in the St. Mary's boys home until adopted by the McDonnells of Athabasca. Would like to know more from the time he was born to the time he was adopted.

Do you know the reason your father [ age aprox 5] was taken from his mother Mary SOROKOSKI /OLENDY - **no reason to publish the information online -

If family services etc - were involved - there may be paperwork - that might be made available to your father -perhaps to you as a direct line.

Perhaps St. Mary's Boys home may offer some assistance.

all buried next to each other in the St Mary Ruth Gr Cath Cemetery at Star, Lamont area.
