I can trace back to William James Ward(Sr.) born abt 1817 in SC. His 2nd wife was Catherine Williams born abt 1836 in AL. I find them living in (Abbeville) Henry Co., AL in the 1860 census. His children by 1st wife (name unknown) are: Sunsan A., Georgia A., John J. -- his children by 2nd wife are William James (b. abt 1858 - my gr grandfather), and Mary A.. I see many Ward families in the area with roots in SC and am trying to make connections. My grandfather was John J. (son of William James, Jr.). Please contact me if you think there may be a connection to your lines.

Hi!

My 4th great grandmother was Sarah Caroline Ward (married Joseph Marion Culpepper). I have that her father was William Ward born circa 1788 in South Carolina. I show she had a brother, William Ward, Jr. who was born circa 1820 in South Carolina. He married Nancy ? and they had two children (if not more): John W. Ward b. 1853 and Nancy W. Ward b. 1859.

Think these might be tied in to your family?

Thanks!

Shannon

Do you have any info on your Mary Ward? My g grandmother was Mary Ward born in Henry co, Al, but I can not find any info on her. She was living in household of Aron and Ellender Smith in 1880 with my grandfather William and his brother Zack. Thanks

Is the "Eunice" you refer-to possibly also known as "Unicey"? Were her parents William Kirkland b abt 1785 & Dicey (poss HELTON)?

Was Eunice the daughter of William & Dicey? I have a "Unicey" aka "Nicey" Kirkland in my database.

No, I do not have her parents listed; but she was born Apr 20, 1894. William and Dicey would have been alittle too old to be her parents.
