Looking for any info on the following Heatons. All I have is the following. James Heaton (1642-1712), m. Sarah Street, no info on where they lived, or who their parents were. Next generation included Nathaniel Heaton, wife unknown, location unknown, dates unknown. Next generation James Heaton, married Hannah Peck, location unknown, dates unknown. Next generation included Eunice Heaton (1734-1784), who married John beach (1734-1785). Eunice John would be my gggg grandparents. I think they lived in the New Haven area.

Would appreciate any additional facts, and would of course like to hear from other descendants of these early Heatons.

In the 1890s one THOMAS HEATON left Wisconsin
and was last heard from "in Alaska".
Family then lost touch with him. He descendanded
from Timothy Abigail, s/o Timothy Lydia,
s/o James Hannah Peck, s/o Nathaniel Mary Todd,
s/o James Sarah, etc. etc.

Do you know anything about this THOMAS HEATON?

my fathers father was a donald heaton,we know little about him other than he and my grandmother Alma from False Pass,Alaska had one child, my father Ronald Heaton born december 27,1943 in Seward, Alaska. My grandmother died in Bremerton,Washington in 1983 and revealed nothing to us,but from what my father remembers he was put in an orphanage by his father before 1950, and he doesn't know why, because he never saw him again and after a couple years my grandmother picked him up and said that his father was dead.So with this little information that I have I am trying to find out who he was and where he came from,we think he originally came from Pennsylvania or back east somewhere from a large family and it is rumored that he was something like the black sheep of the family, wether that means he was rebellious towards his family or an offspring out of wedlock, it is hard to say being what times where like in those days compared to the modern world .any help would be greatly appreciated,Robert W Heaton,Port Orchard,Washington, Heatonrwh1968@aol.com

BIOGRAPHY OF JAMES HEATON

James Heaton was baptized on July 7, 1605 in Limber Magna, Lincolnshire, England. He was the son of William Heaton & Elizabeth Sedgwick. He married Elizabeth Tenney on August 17, 1630 in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire, England. James was a husbandman, or farmer. James must have taken sick very suddenly, because on December 11, 1631 he made an oral will and died that same day. He was buried December 12, 1631in Limber Magna, Lincolnshire. His will made Elizabeth his executrix. He left small amounts of money to the five children of his sister Avis and Christopher Orell, the son of his brother Nathaniel, the three children of his sister Ann and Robert Smalley, and the daughter of his sister Elizabeth and Austin Sedle. He must have suspected that his wife was with child, because he mentioned that if she was, the child should have 50 Pounds. This child must have been James, because he was baptized in 1632. If there was an older sibling of James, named Faith, she probably wasn't mentioned in the will because she had died young.

BIOGRAPHY OF ELIZABETH TENNEY

Elizabeth Tenney was born in Great Limber, Lincolnshire, England. She was the daughter of John Tenney & Ursula Mumby. She was baptized August 8, 1610 at Great Limber, Lincolnshire.
Elizabeth married James Heaton on August 17, 1630 in Stallingborough, Lincolnshire. They may have had a child, Faith, who died young. In 1631, Elizabeth was pregnant with another child and James suddenly became very ill. He made an oral will on December 11, 1631 and died the same day. Elizabeth came to New Haven with her son James between 1633 and 1642. She is called a widow in records of New Haven.

About 1642 Elizabeth married as her second husband, Benjamin Wilmot. They had three children, but Benjamin died fairly young too. Elizabeth went to a court held at New Haven sometime after the death of her second husband. She asked for guidance about how to handle the estate of her first husband, because he had left an estate for their son James. On February 8, 1659/60 in New Haven, Connecticut, Elizabeth married, as her third husband, William Judson, who was born about 1593 in York, England. Elizabeth died in New Haven about 1685.
