(30 Oct 1796 in GA - 19 Sep 1833 in Hinds Co., MS), Rachel (1798 in GA - 1809 in GA) , Piety (24 Jan 1807 in Franklin Co., GA - 28 Sep 1866 in Rusk Co., TX), Mildred (1 Dec 1804 in GA - 5 Apr 1832), James Harvey (Twin) (13 Apr 1809 in Franklin Co., GA - 2 Apr 1852 in Talbotton, Talbot Co., GA) , Richard I (Twin) (13 Apr 1809 in GA - 19 Apr 1900 in Tallapoose Co., AL), Accneth (31 Aug 1812 in Meriwether Co., GA - 28 Apr 1830 in GA), Mary Elizabeth (16 Oct 1810 in GA - between 1842/1910), Lavina K. Joseph Sewell (28 Dec 1802 in GA - 25 Sep 1884 in Elbert Co. , GA) married Mary C. "Polly" Stinchcomb (25 Nov 1806 in Elbert Co., GA - 24 Mar 1883 in Elbert Co., GA). They were married 21 Nov 1827 in Elbert Co., GA). Her parents were Absolom Stinchcomb (1760-1833) & Mary Penn (1766-1836). Children of Joseph and Polly are: Mary Margaret, Sarah, James Victor, Virginia Cornelia, Olivia C., Susan Rebecca.
· Mary Margaret Sewell (Abt 1828 in Franklin Co., GA - Aft. 15 Mar 1875 ) Married Rev. William T. Norman on November 1844 in Elbert Co., GA Children were Joe, Janie, Tommie.
· Sarah Sewell (bet. 1829/1830 in Elbert Co., GA - Aft. 15 Mar 1875) married Thomas Clinton Hamm on 20 Dec 1849 in Elbert Co., GA) . Children were Joe, Will, Cape, Sallie.
· James Victor Sewell (5 Jul 1832 in Elbert Co., GA - 9 Jan 1880 in Elbert Co., GA) He was a Confederate veteran. He married Edna Ann Ham (16 Jan 1835) on 1 Nov 1855, Elbert Co., GA). Children were John Amos (born 1856), Elizabeth (born 1858), Joseph V (born bet. 1861-1863), Willis P. (29 Jun 1866), Ivie (born 1866), Effie (born 1872), Hannah (born 1875).
· Virginia Cornelia Sewell (9 Jun 1838 in Elbert Co., GA - died in LaGrange, GA). She married Reverend John Payne Howell (22 Aug 1832 - 22 Feb 1892 in Troup Co., GA) in 2 Sep 1856 in Elbert Co., GA. Children were: Adeline, Mary J., James, Susie Nevada, Joseph, Nettie, Mamie
· Olivia C. Sewell (3 Oct 1843 in Elbert Co., GA - 13 Oct 1886 - Elbert Co., GA) married Mallory J. Thornton (1840). Thornton served bET. 1861 - 1865 in Company I, 15th Georgia Infantry, CSA. Olivia and Mallory were married 7 Nov 1865 in Elbert Co., GA. Children were Susie P.(3 Oct 1878 - 29 Nov 1888), Mamie D. (7 Feb 1873 - 13 Jul 1873), Joseph Sewell (20 Jul 1866 - 24 Jun 1950), Olivia, Marjorie, Harvey, Mallory Jr., Benjamin J. (born 1869), B. I. (born 13 Oct 1868), Timothy
· Susan Rebecca Sewell ( 19 Jan 1847 in Elbert Co., GA - 17 Feb 1931 in Augusta, GA) married William Harwell Dickerson (25 Dec 1839 in Elbert Co., GA - 22 Mar 1920 in Augusta, GA). William Dickerson enlisted 24 AUG 1861 in Co. B., 24th Regiment, GA Volunteer Infantry. Elected 2nd Lt. Co. B, 24th GA Volunteer Infantry on June 23, 1863. Taken prisoner of war by Union Forces at Fort Royal, Virginia on August 16, 1864. Released from Federal prision at Fort Delaware, Delaware on June 17, 1865. Susan and William were married 14 Jan 1869. Children were Mary Cornelia, Lula, Elizabeth, Emma, Joseph Edward, Linus Weyman, Susan Myrtle.

I am also a descendant of Samuel Sewell, son of Henry Sewell. Will be glad to share info. There have been reunions the last couple of years for descendants of Samuel Sewell held in GA. Last year SAR did good job honoring a son who served in the Revolution.
