Mrs. Leda Avonelle McGlosson, 85, of Middletown, went to be with our heavenly Father on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004.
She was born on Dec. 29, 1918, in Ashland, Ky., and moved to Middletown in 1935. She was the daughter of the late Riley and Hila Branham. Leda was a member of the Central Baptist Church. She was retired from Carskadden Optical Lab in Middletown.
She is survived by her son, John R. McGlosson, and wife, Frankie, of Florida; five grandchildren, David McGlosson, John E. McGlosson, and wife, Kellie, Jeff McGlosson, and wife, Kris, Brad McGlosson, and wife, Missy, and Mike McGlosson; six great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Zac, Josh Lindon, Riley, Justin, and Mason; a sister, Doretha Pruitt of West Lake, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. McGlosson was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Edgar John McGlosson in 1964. Now they are together in heaven. Also preceding her in death were a sister, Ruby Kathleen Mason, and a brother, Edgar Mason Branham, both of Ashland, Ky. She will be sadly missed by all of us.
A special thanks to dear friends, Florence Carrol and family, Michelle Martin and Robin Patrick.
