Hello

Do either of you have any ties to Joseph Friedrich who lived in Putnam County Ohio in the 1860-1870? Also do you know where in Europe your Friedrich family lived before emigrating to the US? We are having problems finding the home town of our Joseph Friedrich.

Thanks

Marj

Hi,

The original post in this thread was from 2001, it may be that person is not watching this thread any longer so you may not hear back. The Friedrich family in my husband's tree called themselves "Prussian" early on. The furthest back we have gone is Michael Friedrich (no dates yet) to his son Gottlieb Friedrich b 1829 Palauija, Prussia, Germany, d 1890 Oshkosh, Winnebago, WI. His son Gustave, my husband's g-grandfather is thought to have been born in Magalow, Bromberg in 1849. Most of the members of this Friedrich family lived around Oshkosh, WI.
