I am a descendant of Joseph and Mary Hoxie. I am their great,great granddaughter. Lizzy, one of their daughters was my great grandmother.
Is that the same Joseph you speak of? He was selectman of the town of Sandwich,Ma and also shoemaker.

To Junardi Armstrong, in answer to your question, my maiden name is Hoxie, from the Joseph Hoxie line ( this account is in my husbands name). My grandfather was Ernest Hoxie. I live in NY., I also have cousins there but I don't know them.

What's your first name? Which Joseph Hoxie? Do you know your great grandmother's name? Where did they live? Where in NY are you? Most of my Hoxie history is in Sandwich, MA. And the Joseph I know lived there. Thanks for answering.

I have a George W. CUNNINGHAM b. Sept. 1, 1875 in Sandwich, MA. His parents were John Franklin CUNNINGHAM, b. in Taunton, MA and Rebecca J. HOXIE, b. in Sandwich, MA.

That's all the info I have. I'm looking for any info on Rebecca. Thanks!

Looking for the parents of Jemima Hoxie of Taunton, MA.

She married Edmond Anthony, son of Job Anthony and Abigail Bush of Swansea, MA.

Jemima died in 1842, probably in the Swansea, Taunton area.

These Hoxies are the last family to own the famous Hoxie House (17th century) on Shawme Pond in Sandwich Center.

Abraham Hoxie and the Pinkhams of Nantucket are somehow connected. The present day Cunninghams (of whom there are many) live largely in and around the Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts area. Indeed John Franklin Cunningham the fouth is in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts.

You will find the this line thoroughly researched in THE PERRY GENEALOGY available from the Bourne Historical Society in Bourne, Massachusetts.
