Does this source also connect Jacob with father Jacob Isaac Alexander b. 1785 in Maryland? This information appears in multiple family trees, most of them copied from other trees. I am interested in information on a Jacob Alexander Sr. b. ca.1762 in PA or MD, who moved to OH then to Union & Franklin County Indiana in 1820's, then to Hamilton & Hancock County, IN in 1830's & died 1841 in Hamilton Co. he may have been the son of Valentine Alexander and Elizabeth Dailin. Valentine was born 1740, in what is now Frederick Md and was the son of Henry and Rebecca Alexander Henry was the son of Henry Alexander and Rachel. This Henry was the son of Francis Alexander born 1654 in Raphoe Donegal Ireland. He was one of the 7 Alexander males and 2 females often mentioned as "brothers" but while they were obviously family they may not have been brothers. They were all the children of William Alexander, Again you may hear they were the family of Rev. Alexander and his wife Mary Maxwell but Helen Smith a \n Alexander family historian has seen the graves of these Alexanders in England and the dies childless. Hopes this helps.
