An excellent source of information on the Taylor's & the Bresaylor/Paynton area is the history book "Bresaylor, Between". It has been indexed by the Saskatchewan Genealogical Society so they may be able to research some names for you.

My grandmother was from Breysalor

Her name was Eliza Macdonald she married AG Johnstone from Selkirk.

She had three bachelor brothers in Bresaylor, Cuthbert Frank, (Uncle Cubby), Colin, and I think Angus. Their father was Philip Macdonald whose wife was also Eliza.

Edward Emerson “Ned” Mack (16 June 1872 Brooklyn-18 Dec.1963 North Vancouver, B.C.) m.(23 Oct.1902 Bresaylor) Mary Isabella Taylor (13 Dec.1878).
Liverpool [Nova Scotia] Advance, 19 Nov.1902: Marriages: At Bresaylor, Sask. Territory, Oct 23rd, by Rev. R.B. Harris, Edward Emerson Mack, of Mill Village, NS, to Mary, daughter of Alex Taylor, Esq, Postmaster of Bresaylor.
Two known children buried Bresaylor Cemetery- but believe there could have been several others-
1. Mable Esther Mack (10 June 1904 Bresaylor, Sask.-20 July 1921).
Liverpool Advance, July 6 1904: Births: At Bresaylor, Sask, NWT, on June 10th to Mr and Mrs E.E. Mack, a daughter- Esther Mabel.
2. Murray Howland Mack (16 Jan.1908-29 Mar.1909).

Edward Mack's brother, Thomas Gardner Mack, probably suffering from tuberculosis, went west to Bresaylor in Sept.1902 and died there March 1903.

Hello - new to this site.

Interesting that in doing some searching on my mother, I came to this site. E.E. Mack was my great-grandfather. I met him once in my life, when he was living with one of his daughters in New Westminster BC. I believe that he passed away in New Westminster, not North Vancouver (but I could be wrong).

The Mack 'girls' as they were known, all moved west to the Vancouver area.
Isabelle, Bernice, Evelyn and Eleanor. All have since passed, that last being Bernice in 2008.

There were 5 children total - I remember my grandmother (Eleanor) and her sisters talking about this during gatherings.

Bernice had one son, who died in the mid 70s (Michael)
Isabelle had three children (Donald, Colin and Valerie)
Evelyn had one son, Norman
Eleanor had two children (Donna and Mary Lynne)

Please let me know if you need anymore information, as there was a book published in the late 70s that I have access to that Bernice published tracing the Mack side of the family back to the actual crossing of the Atlantic YEARS ago.
