SEEK ANY INFO on the family of Henry Bateman Rowley of Crown Point, Essex County, New York. Henry was married to Mary/Polly Wilson. His known children were Hiram Rowley, born 1797 in Whiting, Addison County, Vermont; died in Essex County in 1820s, married Fanny Westurn (who m. 2nd John P. Foster); and Polly Rowley, born at Crown Point, married Harvey Thatcher, died at Stockholm, St. Lawrence County, New York. Other probable children include Sally Rowley (m. Samuel Westurn), William Rowley (m. Ruby Snow), Omira Rowley (m. Freeman Westurn), and Ziba Rowley (m. Samuel Fuller). Another possible child was Bateman Rowley (m. Sylvia Smith). The Westurn family of Ticonderoga (James Westurn & Ann Hayford) and the Rowleys migrated to St. Lawrence County about 1825.

I know this message you have posted is about 5 years old. However, if you haven't received the info you were looking for, I may be able to help. My great great grandmother was Polly Rowley, married to Harvey Thatcher. I have quite a lot of info on their children and descendents. If still interested, let me know. My family lived in town of Stockholm all our lives.

You may already have this but here are a few things I found

Harvey Thatcher came to St Lawrence County from New Hampshire

He died about 1863

He was in the War of 1812

Polly Thatcher d about 1897

I found a few obits for descendents of Harvey and Polly. Let me know if you want them.

I saw some other newspaper articles about a Harvey Thatcher who invented the milk bottle. Is this your line?

No unfortunately, as there is tons of info on him. He is the Harvey THATCHER from Potsdam. The Harvey THATCHER I'm looking for is the son of the pioneer John THATCHER who settled in the West Stockholm area. Thanks for your help.
