Paul: Saw your message thought I'd let you know there are several of us over here in the Toronto and Greater Toronto Area. My fathers side of the family was from Birmingham. They came here about 70 years ago.

I am the great-great granddaughter of one Sarah Cadman, who married Albert/Alfred Davy(he was the US consul). They later lived in Scarborough. Sarah died in 1889. We have a sampler that she created as a child. I am currently trying to trace a portrait that she once owned (we have a photograph) depicting her grandfather, Robert Oastler, and his 8 children. Don't know whether any connection to you (Cadman seems a fairly common Yorkshire name) but would be glad to supply more details if it sounds hopeful. Regards, CeliaMoss@compuserve.com

Hi!
My grandfather was Samuel George Cadman who was born in Colchester England in 1886. I am tracing my family tree and I don't have much information on him.
He married Ada Emma Wakeling in 1907 at the Trinity United Church in London England. In 1911 they came to Canada but went back to England in 1916 when Grandpa enlisted
with the Army. Can anyone help?

Hello Paul
As I have posted on the message board that we have originated from Cheshire .It appears you are the nearest. My father was from Gt Budworth and relations still live in Pickmere and Lymm. I have an Uncle who is researching the Cadman name , which branch do you originate from?. As you state there does`nt seem to be many around.
