Hi Monte,
I've checked my database and have found no
matches for your Daggy's. However, since
I've been doing genealogy for several years,
I found out early on that most of the Daggy
family members in the US are related to each
other. Therefore, I feel that eventually
we'll all be able to connect our names to
each other. I would like to hear from you,
and maybe keep in touch. Maybe later on,
when we can make a connection, we can share
information.
Sincerely, Mae

Daggy

Elaine, I have a Wallace Daggy in my database;
however, I have his wife listed as Carrie
Bladen with no dates or places other than IN.
In my database I am aware that they had 7
children but I have no dates or places for
these children or any other descendants.
Would you be interested in sharing info with
me? I have many DAGGY family members
beginning about 1740. I'm looking forward to
hearing from you.

I too am researching my family tree. I have a Henry Jincyann (Butler) Daggy in Perry Township, Miami County, Indiana during the 1830's. The only thing I know is they had two daughters Delany Ellen, born in Perry Township, Miami County, Indiana (June 1838) Elizabeth Anna, born May 4, 1837. I have other info about these two, but am coming up empty on Henry Jincyann before. Any info you can share would be appreciated.

Becky, my Daggy's were from Miami Co. also.
They were Allan Daggy (1832-1906) and his
family. Want to compare notes? I'd love to
share info.

As I said before, I don't have a lot of info, but will share what I can. Right now, it is on paper from previous searches from family books, but I will compile it for the computer.

Monte,

I have recently been doing some census work on the Daggy family (of Highland Co., Ohio). I found your Veda Ellen Daggy in the 1900 census (Salem Twp., Highland Co., OH). She was living with her father Wm. Oliver & mother, Rosetta Daggy, and an older sister, Lana (or it might be Laura). Wm. Oliver Daggy's parents were Jacob B. & Elizabeth E. (Barker) Daggy. Jacob & Elizabeth had 4 children: Wm. Oliver, Thomas L. Hamer, Anna B. & an unnamed child.

The parents of Jacob B. Daggy were Rev. John P. Daggy & Dorothy (Propst) Daggy. There must have been some sort of sickness in 1851 (cholera?) because John & Dorothy died within 4 days of one another in July of 1851. According to the 1850 census (Highland Co.) There were 6 children in this household - but there may have been more. These children were: Josiah S., Jacob B., Hannah, John L., Henrietta & Harriet or Harrietta (last two were twins). Henrietta was married to my 2nd great grand uncle, William R. Miller.

Your query was old (2000) so you may have gotten this information from other sources by now. But wanted to pass on my findings just in case you hadn't.

I'm the grandson of Eugene L. Daggy born 27 Apr 1867 and married to Charity Pickens, daughter of Samuel B and Eliza Pickens. I have a complete descendant chart for Eugene and Charity. There are only four of us who remain.

I have no information on Eugene's parents nor can I find connections to Charity's grandparents. Any connections would be welcomed.
