My father, Nunzi D'Alfonso, took over my grandfathers construction business in the 1950's then his brother Joe became a partner with him a few years later. Glad to hear from you. My grandfathers name was Joeseph D'Alfonso, and he was from portland ME, I dont remember ever hearing about construction work, But I know when I was a kid I used to get my hair cut at his little barber shop down by the village cafe. I am interested in learning more about family history, if this sounds familiar please email me.

Hi saw your posting. We live in Portland as well. My father had the construction business called C. D'Alfonso and Sons, Inc. on Presumpscot St. in Portland. Owned the business with his brother Joe who passed away last year. I know of the Dalfonso family from Federal St. Joe the barber, believe he has passed as well. I think his wife was an O'Brien and her sister married an Aceto. People from time to time ask me if I know you. I said I have heard of your name, but guess we are all connected to that same village of Lettomanoppello. Take Care, Annemarie
