I am seeking information on John Parker Pinkney DeShazo b.1833, son of Dr. Wm. King DeShazo and Nancy Pitts. My grandfather, John Robert DeShazo b. 1881 was born to a John Pinkney DeShazo b. 1852 and Mary Caroline Overton in Alabama. I am missing a generation here and need help.
Thanks

Surnames: De Shazo
I am a descendant of Louis De Shazo, a brother of Dr. William King De Shazo. Their father was Lewis De Shazo 1755 - 1818.

This is from research published in 1964 by General Thomas E.
de Shazo, deceased.

Parker Pinkney De Shazo, son of Dr. William King De Shazo, was born in Georgia in 1833, and migrated to Shelby County, Alabama with his parents. He served in the Civil War, and was the only one of three sons to survive the war. He migrated to Texas after the war.

Hope this helps. For more information about early history of the De Shazo family in America please join us on the FREE DeShazo Surname Web Site. E-mail me for an invitation to join. Also, we have an archives of De Shazo family history documents available to reseachers. We have very scant information concerning Dr. William King De Shazo, and would like very much to further develop what we have. Would appreciate anything you can add and will be happy to share what we have with you.

I was wondering if you know the names of Parker Pinkney DeShazo's brothers that died in the civil war?
