Looking for ancestors of Cain (Kane) and Elizabeth Ralph Derenzy who came from Ireland into Canada in the 1860s. They had three sons; Edward, John, and William.

I don't know if I am related to Kane and Elizabeth.
All I know is that my grandfather Edward
deRenzy was born in Ontario Canada in 1908.
His Father Alexander deRenzy I believe worked
in or for a lumber mill there.

I have limited info. about the family in Canada. I do know that Cain and Elizabeth came from Ireland into Ontario and they are listed in the 1870 Ontario Census. They for sure had three sons; Edward, William, and John. The census lists a daughter Elizabeth as well. We think there may have been other siblings due to the large gap between the brothers and sisters ages. They family came to Michigan in abt. 1874. It is said that Cain died on the trip through Canada and that Elizabeth then lived with her son William. Sorry this is so vague. Michele

I need to make a correction. Cain and Elizabeth Derenzy and three children Edward, William and Elizabeth are listed on the 1861 Euphemia Township Census for Lambton County. They are not found on the 1871 census. If you find any connections please let me know. Thank you for your time and help. Michele
