I have a lot of information on Edward Filmer who married Elizabeth Argall in East Sutton in 1585. My main interest is on the ARGALL line of course.

I am very much interested in both the Filmer and Argall lines. I descend from their daughter Catherine, who married Robert Barham of East Hall, Boughton-Monchelsea, Kent. Their son Charles Barham emmigrated to VA in the mid 1600s Edward Filmer and Elizabeth Argall Filmer were my 10th gr-grandparents.

My hope is to visit Kent in the next year or so, and see as many of the family "seats" involved in my line as possible. Most seem to be centered along the North Downs and Low Weald, stretching from below Canterbury west to Maidstone and then into East Sussex.

Hi there just curious if any of the Filmer line is in any relation to the Fillmore line? With all the research I have been doing lately there are so many ways to spell Fillmore and Filmer was one of them. My Heritage goes back as far as John the Mariner from Kent, England born 1676. But for some reason nobody can find any Ancestral background on this particular Fillmore. Any help you all have would be great thanks for your time.
Thanks Gerald Fillmore.

Having recently discovered that I have ancestors that come from a Filmer line which is the same as those you described in your message. I discovered my line is the same as yours until James Filmer m Marjorie Raynor. Would appreciate any details you have as to this line.

Thanks

Dear Sir,

I have recently discovered I am a decendant of a Martha Elizabeth Ann Filmer nee Overy, by chance do you have any information surrounding this lady I believe she was born around 1820-30. I believe she is from the same Filmer family and am just trying to confirm this detail.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Many thanks
Steven
