I am related to your father, as my father was Pat Garafalo, from Stuyvesant NY. My grandfather, Angelo owned the Stuyvesant Hotel for many years.I recently got interested into doing Genealogy , and would like any information you might have. Gere is what I have found out so far. Antonio and Angelo were born in Roligano, Italy Antonio married Theresa Gabrielle, son were Jimmy, Joe, Sam, Gus, Lewis, and John.My grandfather, Angelo came to America around 1908, I think. They settled in Newton NY, and worked in the brickyards. Later my grandfather purchased the Stuyvesant Hotel, where I grew up. I have 2 sister's, Connie and Patty. If you are interested in emailin g me, that would be fine. I also have cousins, Margaret, Jenny, and Rita. who I guess are your cousins too. Maragret's husband, Bryan, also is into Genealogy. I am sure you have spoken to them also. hope to hear from you soon, Jean Garafao Ferraro P.S, I live in Schenectady NY

I have relatives from Utica and other areas of New York. My grandfather is Casey Stagno II and his son Casey Jr. was born in Utica in 1920. Casey Stagno II was married to Maria (Mary) Garofalo. I don't know much about the relatives in New York. Maria and Casey II were both born about 1995 and had a daughter in 1911 named Civita (my mother). Another brother, Orlando may have been born in Utica as well about 1914. Don't know exactly where my mother was born.

Thank you for your consideration, if you would like to contact me my current email is, rocklovinggal@gmail.com

Thank you, Karen

I am helping a friend find her family roots. Her father was a Garofalo and was born in NYC somewhere. She has very little information about him, but he was born about 1912 or thereabouts. His name was Francis Robert, but he was called Frank I believe. He died in his 50's. Had unreputable associates. He died in Florida.

Maria (Garofalo) Stagno had immigrated with a young daughter and her husband Casey II from Italy about 1914. They had at least two more sons, Casey III and Orlando while living in New York.

The family moved to the French Camp/Stockton area of California from New York with her husband Casey Stagno II. They had other children, at least two more daughters and more sons but none named Frank. I believe there were 9 children in all. I have no information on Maria's family. We visited New York once in 1958 and visited our Garafalo relatives but I was so young I remember only being there and nothing about individuals. Other Garafalo and I believe Stagno family still live in the New York area.

If anyone has information about this family I would appreciate any help.
