I am looking for a Martha Loughrey (or Laughery) She married Charles Paisley and moved to South Dakota from Greensberg Pa.
She would have been born about 1884 and I am told she was burried in the family plot in Greensberg Pa. She died abt 1917. She had two children James Henry Paisley, my father, born in 1907 and Francis Eugene Paisley. I was told her fathers name was James F Laughery and her Mother was Francis E. I Look forward to any information on this family.

Surnames: Loughrey, Patton, McCodick
I know a James Loughrey (Laughrey, Loughry) who was born about 1802, who married a Elizabeth Anderson and whom we take to be the brother of Patrick Loughrey (1801). Patrick Loughrey (my great-great grand father) married Mary Patton (1805). He is the son of Andrew Loughry and Belle McCodick. Patrick Loughrey is the father of 9 sons, among whom Bernard, whose descendants bear the name Laughrea, and Owen, whose descendants bear the name Loughrea.

Michael,
I just received a death certificate for Bridget Loughrey who was born in Northern Ireland her father's name Bernard Loughrey the certificate has nothing on her mother. She was born around 1864 and arrived about 1871 in Philadelphia PA. Do these names sound familiar to you?
Thank You
Marie

My great great grandfather was Bernard Loughrey married to Margaret McCaffrey. Bernard was born about 1830(+-)found living in Castlefinn, Co. Donegal in 1864 in LDS film. In the obituary for my great grandmother (Bridget Loughrey McGlynn) husband John V. McGlynn in 1890 they are mentioned living in Riskey (perhaps a mis-spell for Rooskey). A dead search in Dublin by a distant relative mentions property in Sessesgahlong being transfered upon his death to his wife Margaret McCaffrey and after hers to Margaret Loughrey McGranahan. Would appreciate learning more on Patrick Loughrey and if you feel my Bernard Loughrey could be the Bernard you mentioned as son of Patrick Loughrey

Would this be the same area as your Loughery's were living?
