Marshall, My name is Kate (Roberson) Kern.
I have a booklet titled Record of Personal Experience by A. S. Roberson which lists "Seven Generations of one family" There are 250 decendants listed in. It was done in November, 1943. It lists a John H. Roberson whose father was James L. Roberson. James' children were John H., Lucy, Grover, Arie & Lee. John H.'s children were Cathline, John H. Jr, David, Grover, Marie and Elliott. If this sounds like it may be the same family e-mail me at Kerncons@tiac.net.

I do not have any info. that you would need, but I was hoping you might have some info for me.

My Mother Candice Roberson was killed in Wilkes County in 1987. She was married to Perry Roberson. Perry was the son of Clegg and Mary(?) Roberson. I believe that they had somewhere around seven children, one of which was killed over 20 years ago (hit by a car).

Well, to get to my point. When my mother was killed in 1987 her husband (Perry Roberson) and father in law (Clegg Roberson) were serving prison terms for distribution and drug trafficking. I believe that they may have had something done to her. The case has never been solved. I was a stepdaughter of Perry and never knew much about the Roberson family.

My point is, I am looking into writing a book about my Mother's death and I am looking for history on this family. If you know anything, please e-mail me.

Thank you,
Karen

I think the booklet you refer to was written by my great uncle Archibald Staten Roberson. The title is "Record of Personal Experience by A.S.Roberson Seven Generations Of One Family". I have a copy of the booklet. It lists descendants from his maternal grand-parents Pompey Billy and Dolly Coburn Rogers. Archibald's mother Gatsey Ann Rogers married Henry Baker Roberson and many of those descendants are mentioned. I am happy to share info. Could we be kin?

We may very well be kin. I recognize some of the names you mentioned from my readings in MARTIN COUNTY HERITAGE. My problem is that I do not know how my ancester, Noah Perry ROBERSON fits in with all the other Robersons in Martin Co., NC. There has to be a connection. I just haven't found it yet.

Is the book too large to copy? I would love to read it for clues. I would be willing to pay you for any expense you incur.

Thank you for your reply.

I'd be happy to copy it for you! Email me at cushmand@msn.com with your address. I have some other source material from Martin County around here too and I'll see if Noah Perry Roberson appears.

Am looking for information on a Monroe Roberson, d. in Darke County, Ohio. His daughter, Estella Pearl Roberson/Robeson married Chester Arthur Baker. Just happened to see the Baker in your post, so thought maybe a connection somewhere! Worth a shot! Feel free to email me and we can discuss this a little more.
Thank you,

I don't have any idea if we are related, but my grandfather's brothers name was Perry. Do you know where your step-father and or his father were born. Or where they grew up?
Please reply. I am trying to dig up history myself!
