I'm from England but am currently living in Delaware.
My dad's cousin has traced the Rutter family tree back to the 1700's. Some relations have been found in Australia. My dad is Anthony David Rutter of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England.

I would be extremely interested in having a copy of the Rutter lineage that your dad's cousin has developed. I believe my ancestors were from the Suffolk area.

Hi
I,m trying to find more info on the Rutters in Suffolk.
My direct line was from Stradbroke (William) and he had many children. I do not know where William was born (Glemsford, Whepstead, Bury St Eds - as per census) as he moved to Stradbroke in 1850's. I believe they were Baptists. Relative would like to correspond with anyone who has info on this family.

Hi, I have just read your message with great interest. My father was a Rutter. His father's name is Cyril Laurence Sidney Horace Rutter and he was born around 1903. He married Emily Boggis on 31st October 1926 in the district of Holborn, London, in a Baptist ceremony. On his marraige certificate his father is recroded as Leonard Rutter, Bread Baker. The only Leonard Rutter of this occupation I have been able to trace was born in Stradbroke around 1877. I have been unable to locate a birth certificate for my grandfather despite having a copy of his marriage and death certificates. It is rumoured that my grandfather's surname was orginally Laurence and that he took the name Rutter when he went to live with his uncle. I have tried to locate a registered birth for Laurence with different formutations of the first names. If you have any information that might shed some light on this I would be greatful.

I'm a Rutter and took a wrong turn and collected up some info on some Suffolk Rutters which it turned out were not connected to me. I saved the info I collected and can put on a gedcom, but not sure how to get it to you. Best regards, Colin

Hi Colin,
I would be very pleased if you could send me the suffolk Rutters. I am related to them & trying to fill in a few blanks. I don't know what a gedcom is.
Thank you,
