A map of Austria at the time of your ancestor:
A map of Bohemia :
You need to locate a name of a town in order to proceed with the research.
Bartachek would be BARTAC^EK and Yaroshek a JAROS^EK or JAROUS^EK in Czech. The English Y makes the Czech J sound. Take a look in Ellis Island website. You need to register but no money. (surname navigator) CZ's phone site

I have Joseph Yaroshek (1867 - 1933) who married Emma Bartachek (1870 - 1910). Joseph's father John Yaroshek (1830 - ?) was my gg-grandfather. They moved from Powesheik County, IA to Mower, MN some time between 1903 and 1910.
