My father Glen Seeley and at least 1 sibling were placed in a Pueblo, CO orphanage. I'm seeking the name of this orphanage for research purposes and a family health background

Here are the orphanages in Pueblo, Colorado :

Emanual Faith Home : too small for inclusion.
Holy Family Orphanage : Catholic, for white children.
Lincoln Home : for Negro children.
McClellen (McClelland) Children's Home : for white and Japanese children.
Sacred Heart Orphanage : Catholic, for white children.

There are a few lines of text for each one on page 43 of a book I published in 1982 : "Adoption Agencies, Orphanages and Maternity Homes--An Historical Directory."

The book is out of print. I gave permission to a relative to scan it onto a CD-ROM, but nothing came out of that idea. If you are willing to go to a library, try interlibrary loan, if your library has access to a computerized resource that will identify which libraries have the book. If the Library of Congress number would simplify that search, here it is : 81-81206

I also have a card index (in geographic order) of libraries that purchased the book. I don't know which of them may have discarded it to make room for new books. If you send me the city and state where your nearest library is, I'll try to find a nearby library in my card index. But I prefer that you try the librarian first.

hi my name is Dan Chavez III I was trying to lookup any posting of Sacred Heart Orphanage to see if anyone was looking for other children that grew up at SHO Was the orphange run by Nuns? My stay was from 1948 to 1962, we had outing with the other orphanages,I tried to check on some past illnesses and the only info I got was my mothers name and my grandma name and a brother and a sister who was also placed at the orphanage. I was in the Orphanages in late 1950s and early 1960s my name is Larry Johnson, and my brother name is Joe Johnson. My mother was Isable Chavez. My aunt Stella and Mike Chavez put me and my brother in the Orphanage.
