I am looking for a list of Childrens Homes in Los Angeles or Los Angeles County for the year 1931/32. I found one through a search and it is connected to RootsWeb but it is for the year 1900. Any ideas where I might find this info? Thank you.

Lora

I attended a convent and orphanage in los angeles in the boyle heights area for four years.

It was established in the late 1900's and torn down
about 1960's.
they took in mostly girls that were either orphaned or un wanted.

could this be what you were looking for?

I apologize for it taking so long for me to get back here. I am looking for a home that my Dad and his twin, my aunt, were in as babies. They were born in 1931 in Bell California. At some point they were separated, no clue when. I have tried to find him on the 1940 census and it seems that both of them just fell off the planet. Thanks for the reply!
