Who else is researching this family?
Samuel was son of Joseph (we think). He married Charity Thompson in 1812. Their children were: Granvil, Samuel Jr., Rhinaldo, Graham, Harry, Stephen C., Joseph, Granvil, Louisa, Lucinda, Elizabeth, Ebin, Angeline, William and Pheobe.
When and where were they born, died and who did they marry and where did they live?
My line is through Samuel Jr.

Samuel's father, Joseph Hurd was my 6th great uncle. He was born in CT and a descendant of John Hurd, one of the original 17 families who settled in Stratford, CT about 1639.
I have a lot of data on the family if you wish to contact me.

In the past I received some genealogy from Rita Hurd Taylor of Wellsville, NY back in 1998 as she is (was) a descendant of Charity (Thompson) Hurd. Have heard nothing from her since and wonder if she is still living. She was a great help when I first started all this research. Samuel was the brother to Walliston who I've tried to find descendents on for 8 years. Joseph and Walliston were siblings of ten other children. There are several Samuel Hurds in the family and perhaps we can figure them all out. I'll be only too happy to correspond with you.

Please contact me regarding the Hurd family and descendants of Joseph Hurd from CT to NY to Genesee, Potter County, PA..
Information on the three brothers who removed to Wisconsin and many other family members. Joseph was my 6th great uncle. He was one of 12 children and I'm still looking for his brother Walliston (many ways of spelling it)who was in Junus, NY in the census about 1810. Walliston had a son Philander. There was alo a Judson Hurd on that census.
