Looking for African-American Draytons

My great grandmother is Henrietta Drayton. I am not sure exactly where she was born but I know her family came from the west endies. Henrietta ended up in Arizona and had 3 daughters. Does this name or any of this sound familiar? Unfortunately most of this side has passed and I do not have much to go on yet.

My great grandmother was Henrietta Drayton. She had 3 daughters and moved to Arizona at some point. From what I am told she was born somewhere in the West Indies. I unfortunately don't have very m,any family members left that can help me answer questions. Have you been able to find Draytons beyond South Carolina?

I can be reached at 720 529 9759.

It was great talking to you the other night. Sorry we got disconnected. I believe my great grandmother Henrietta Drayton came directly from Trinidad to the states. My mother and grandmother were of lighter brown skin tone. I am more of a darker brown.
Do you know about any of the Draytons that headed west towards Arizona? That is where my family ended up. I will give you a call soon.

Thanks again for help. You are a God send.

I don't understand the seperation of the family either. I only wish my granmother was still around so I could ask her more questions. My family came to be in AZ because of my great grandmother. As far as I know, I am not aware of any other draytons that came with her.

This may be helpful...

http://www.docstartlegal.com/archives.html

Scroll to the end of the page and there are family lineage trees there that are absolutly accurate. My understanding is that most Draytons have their roots in South Carolina.

Much success.
