Looking for Louise Jasmer

I'm trying to find any records on my grandmother, Louise Jasmer prior to marrying Herman Voth. She was born in Germany in 1891, immigrated sometime before 1920, lived in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania all of her life and died in 1969. She had a sister, Alvina (Jasmer) Stack. I am trying to find anything on her parents, where she immigrated from, etc.

Hello,
Alvina (Jasmer) Stack was my great grandmother. I found her Obituary online and her parents are listed as John & Albertine Meace. I just started looking into my family tree, hope this helps. Please let me know if you have found anything.

Hi!
Nice to meet you here at Ancestry.com. I believe we are 2nd or 3rd cousins. Alvina's sister, Louise Voth, was my grandmother. Alvina was 10 years older than my grandmother. I also recently found out that my grandmother was born in Hazleton, PA not Germany (like Alvina) and that her baptismal name is really Louisa Maria Wilhelmina Jasmer.

My family tree is public, so you can view the information I have collected so far about this part of my family. Just do a search under Public Member Trees for Genetti/Voth Family Tree. I do know the obituary you referenced for Alvina. I have it attached to her on my tree. Alvina would have been my great-aunt, unfortunately she died when I was only 2 years old. I don't ever recall my grandmother talking about her. Her obituary is very confusing and I believe it contains several errors. Her parents were actually John Jasmer and Albertina (Meshe) Jasmer. Their last names are also listed as "Yasmer". I have found their names in the Luthern church records and also have copies of their alian cards (you can see these on my family tree along with their photos). Also look under Alvina in my tree and you will see a photo of her tombstone. She is buried in West Hazleton, PA right near her parents and my grandparents. I also have an unidentified photo under my grandmother (Louisa) that I believe could be either Louisa or Alvina as a young woman, probably taken sometime between 1900 to 1920.

Which of Alvina's children was your grandparent? Glad to share information with you.
