There has been mention of him as fighting at Chancellorsville. From Chattanooga, TN. From a Virginia branch of the Bibles.
Does anyone have any information on him or his line?

Thanks,

pjb

One of his ancestors posted his diary in the photos of the Bible webpage. I know that it mentioned him traveling by train from Chattanooga to Chuckey when the war was over. Also, at the local museum, Nathanael Greene Museum, there is a display of a certificate of his participation in the war signed by President Andrew Johnson.

Thank you for the information. I went through the Bible family page and for the life of me could not find a diary pertaining to him. I appreciate the lead at the NGM and will call there tomorrow. I am trying to establish lineage for his family who I believe originated in Virginia. Again, thanks for your help.
Best,
pjb

I apologize, I just now came across the diary I was referring to. It was from Thomas Bible. I'm so sorry! I hope you found some information from Nathaneal Greene Museum. Hopefully, I didn't send you on a wild goose chase!
