Surnames: Manly, Douglass, Packard
I have been looking for someone who is related to Preserved
Manly. According to IGI at the LDS Family History Center, Preserved's parents are Samuel and Martha Manly. I think there is a possibly that Preserved is a brother to my husband's ggg grandfather, Asher Bruce Manly/Manley. Asher was in Marion County, OH, the same time Preserved was. Asher had a brother James, that went to Iowa and a sister, Mercy, who married a John Parcle/Parcel, in Marion County in 1824. On the estate settlement of John Parcle, Preserved's name was listed as owing money to John Parcle.
I know that Asher's mother's name was Martha Packard, but I
am not sure what his father's name is at this point. The family
says Samuel or Joseph, but I have not been able to prove it.
Do you know why Preserved died in Michigan? I have wondered where he was because I lost him after he was in Morrow County, OH. Any help you could give me on Preserved and this Manly family would be very much appreciated.

Do you have a time frame and county in Michigan for when Preserved died?

Preserved died in 1876 in Courtland Twp, Kent County, MI. He followed the same path that Asher Bruce Manley (my husband's ggggrandfather) followed. I feel there is a connection.
