History of Middlesex County by D. Hamilton Hurd (JW Lewis & Co 1890) Vol. 1, in a biog. section on lawyers, lists Ebenezer Bowman as follows: Ebenezer Bowman was born in Wilmington July 31, 1757 and graduated at Harvard in 1782. He practiced law at Wilkesbarre and died in 1829.
Wilmington V.R. does not list him.

Ebenezer Bowman was born on July 31, 1757 in Lexington, MA the son of Captain Thaddeus Bowman and his second wife Sybil Roper Woolson Bowman. He was one of those who stood on Lexington Common on April 19, 1775. He later served in the Continental Army, graduated from Harvard in 1782, and was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar. He removed to New York, then Philadelphia and finally to Wilkes-Barre, PA where he died March 1, 1829 at the age of 71. I am interested in his descendants and would appreciate any information on them.
