Surnames: Lovell
Looking for my connection to the Davidson County Lovel/
Lovells. My g-g-grandfather was Montgomery B. Lovell. He
was supposedly born in approx. 1824 in Davidson County.
Moved to Louisiana before 1850 and to Texas by 1860. Would
like to hear from anyone who has ran the Lovell lines from
this county. I think his father was either Robert or James.
They came to TN from NC. Would like info on those, also.

A Montgomery Bell Lovell is listed as the father of my gg grandfather Altibanus (Bayne) Lovell in Shelby County. Matilda Lasker lovell is listed as the mother and he is buried in Shelby Co Texas. He had three brothers also buried in Shelby Co.We have actively searched for the last resting place of Montgomery Bell Lovell with little success. Some of the remaining older generation said he moved to West Texas probably around Midland.I would be interested in additional information on Montgomery Lovell as I have hit a brick wall in research and was delighted to see a possible connection.

Did you ever solve the identify of your Montgomery Lovell? I descend from James Lovell of Davidson Co who arrived by 1799 and died in 1847. I can dig into my files if you are still working on this family.

Still do not know the identity of Montgomery Bell Lovell who
may have died in Shelby Co., TX as did his son Artibanus and his wife Matilda. Thanks.
