I have a John W. Stewart married to Emma Lukens with a son named Charles David, b: 22 Feb 1877, d:25 Oct 1945.
I am a 6th generation Stewart born and raised in Massac County, however I believe he is from a different set of Stewart's. The one I have shown is married into another of my lines. Let me know if this might be him and I will see what info I can find for you.

Kenneth,
Have You heard of Edward Stewart & wife/Nancy Short who were in early 1830's Pope Co., IL and later Massac Co., IL?
They were married 1813, Roane Co., TN.
I am finding in census records, one daughter Matilda E. Stewart m. #1/William Cavender and #2/Henry Rehlmeyer.
In 1830 & 1840 Cs-Pope Co., it appears that there are
several children.

My cousin and I think that Nancy [Short] Stewart is a possible sister to our 3rd g.grandpa Willis Short of Roane Co., TN.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Debby Short-Carden
